At The Elite Group we are committed to providing our clients with the best service in the security industry. We employ only highly trained individuals. Most of our employees are active police officers and members of elite SWAT teams. Many of our employees have backgrounds in the military’s Special Forces community.

     Police departments and the military go to great lengths to train these officers. A private company or individual would have to spend thousands of dollars to properly train just one security officer to the level of a police SWAT officer. There is also little substitute for experience. We require that officers have at least 5 years patrol experience to just apply for a position with our company.

     At The Elite Group we recognize the value of these highly trained and experienced officers. We seek out the “best of the best” and train these select officers to an even higher degree. Our officers assigned to a protection detail are required to complete a VIP Protection Detail Course taught by the International Association of Chiefs of Police. Every police officer employed with our company must pass a Firearms Training Course and an Emergency Vehicle Operations Course designed specifically for protective details. This assures that our clients get the absolute best security professionals in the industry.

     Why do we insist on such training and experience? A client needs security services for two reasons. To manage a threat and to handle a crisis situation. Professional police officers are trained to react to a crisis situation in an appropriate manner. Years of training and experience are ingrained in the officers mind until his reactions become “instinct”. The officers survival on the street depends on this instinct. Private security officers working for only several dollars an hour are not trained, equipped or even willing to react appropriately to a threat. Simply put, there is no comparison between hourly security officers and experienced police officers.
